In the midst of a housing crisis, this new report takes a closer look at alternatives to ‘affordable rent’ schemes. The report recommends that government embrace the concept of ‘living rent’ as an alternative, and looks at how some regional authorities are tackling the challenge of affordability by introducing their own ‘living rent’ schemes to make housing genuinely affordable for local people.
