The Welsh Government recognise the need for more social homes and have set a target to deliver 20,000 homes in the social rented sector during this term of the Senedd (2021-2026). But three years in, it is now reported that this is unlikely to be achieved. This report analyses the data and listens to the views of organisations working across the housing sector on why it is harder than ever to deliver new homes.
